DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Silas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Silas:

Genson-7 and Genson-39 appear to represent the same person because: Same person
posted by Jorge Gubbins
Something has gone wrong here. The places of birth of these "brothers" are opposite sides of the Atlantic, magically on the same date. They have been attached to the same father, but that could have resulted from some wrong assumptions. Need to research further on how many Silas Abraham Gensons there really are, and who were the parents. If one of them had died young in England I would have half believed this, but the ages are claimed to overlap. And they appear to have different offspring.

There is a Silas A. Genson in the 1880 census, a widower living in Shuman, Michigan, born 1815, New York. Is this the son referred to elsewhere ("don't confuse" note on the other Silas's profile)? Father is shown as born in Mass., and mother in England. Other Gensons are nearby.

Genson-7 and Genson-39 are not ready to be merged because: different locations
Genson-39 and Genson-7 appear to represent the same person because: Exact dates and same parents
They were not the same, as I am NOT, nor have I ever been Carole Alden. I have no idea who this Carole Alden even is, that has laid claims in my place, while others think she is me, and she isn't
Genson-36 and Genson-7 appear to represent the same person because: both of these profile have the same birth and are shown as the husband of the same woman.
