Biography

Odie George was enumerated as daughter of the head of household in Militia Districts 487, 1448, Philips, McWilliams, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 4, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born March 1887 in Georgia and single. Also included in the household are head Oscar George, daughter Emma George, daughter Ora George, son Arthur George, daughter Loice George and son Oscar George as seen in an image of the original census.[1]

Odie Stevenson was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 155 Glenwood Avenue, Atlanta Ward 9, DeKalb County, Georgia for the April 19, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1887 in Georgia and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head John Stevenson and son Raymond Stevenson.[2]

Odie Stephenson is listed as the nearest relative of her husband John Alfred Stephenson when he registered for military service in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. She was noted as born 1887 in Georgia and married. She was first married at the age of nineteen as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head John A Stephenson, son Grady Stephenson, son Clyde Stephenson, daughter Mary Stephenson, son John A Stephenson, daughter Nancy Stephenson, daughter Sarah Stephenson, son Louis Stephenson and boarder Hoyt Brantley.[5]
