Having got the 18 year old Christiana Powditch pregnant it was 9 months after the birth of their daughter in Mar 1878 before he wed Christiana Powditch in Dec 1878. Christiana would immediately fall pregnant a second time with their son.
Christiana George married John Daniel Wright in 1885. Her status is given as widow. Henry George would seem to have disappeared from Christiana's life around 1880 as they had no more children together. As a fisherman it is possible that Henry George was lost at sea. A second possibility is that he has abandoned his family. Unable to locate a death record, so far.
Update 4 Apr 2018: received information from the great granddaughter of Christiana Powditch that Henry George was indeed lost at sea from the lugger Amelia. Henry drowned on 14 Oct 1881.
