O.K. GEORGE, 86, DIES IN CORTLAND
Orra Kelsey George, 86, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 55 Church st.
He was born on Aug. 20, 1866, in West Dryden, the son of Joel Bishop George and Amazilla Fulkerson George.
He was manager of the Cortland Western Union Telegraph Company office in his early years. In 1904 he joined the Wickwire Brothers Company and for many years he was the purchasing agent for this company. He retired in April, 1946. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Chidsey George; three nieces, Mrs. Willis H. McGraw, Cortland, Mrs. John A. Lowe, Rochster, and Mrs. John D. Adams, Baltimore; one nephew, Edgar F. George Jr., Glen Rock, N.J.
Funeral services will be held at the Beard Memorial Home at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Ralph C. Lankler officiating. Interment will be in the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. -Cortland Standard, 10 Jun 1953
