Biography
Note: Brenda said that 'Shakespear Nan' was adopted and her name was Stokes. Alice May's birth certificate says that her name was "Emma Stokes formerly George". The birth certificate does not have a fathers name on it. On the 1911 census she is still called Stokes, but says she is a widow. Births Dec 1881 (>99%).
STOKES Emma W Bromwich 6b 786. On the 1911 census, she says she is born in Smethwick.
