Biography
Milton Gerard was one of 12 children and the youngest son of Abner and Martha (Lloyd) Gerard. He was born in Washington Twp, Montgomery Co, Ohio in the early days of settlement there. His father died in 1819, when Milton was about 15. He is listed as a minor in an 1822 court case over his father's land but had reached majority (21) when the land was sold in 1825.
