Margaret Gerard Mitchell was the eldest daughter of Abner and Martha Gerard. She was born in Berkeley Co, VA(now WV) before her family moved to the Northwest Territory of Ohio in 1797. She married Edward Mitchell on 25 Feb 1808 and they located on a farm close by her parents in Washington Twp, Montgomery Co. Edward and her father were both active in the Baptist Church.
She is mentioned in father Abner Gerrard's estate settlement of land records in Montgomery Co, OH, selling their share of estate to Richard Stephens. The couple had at least 3 children: John, Henry and James, all born in Montgomery Co, OH. After her father's death, the Mitchells joined many other family members and moved to Indiana where land was much cheaper. Margaret died in Fountain Co, IN on 14 Feb 1828 and is buried next to her husband in Keyes Cemetery in Warren Co, IN.
Mary Margaret Girard or Gerrard was born about 1783. Her preferred name was "Peggy". She married Edward Mitchell 25 Feb 1808 in Montgomery County, Ohio. If birth year is exact, Peggy married at age 25. Mary Margaret Girard Mitchell passed away 14 December 1828 and is buried in Warren County, Indiana at Keyes Cemetery.

She married first; Bradstreet Moody Hayes (1800 - 1839, second, Robert Rusk Crow (1810-Unk); third, Willard Wight (1800-1860). 4) Abner (1813-Unk) 5) John (1815-1890). John married Mary Ann Pugh (1817-1869) 6) William (1817-1820) 7) Julia A (c1819-1844). Julia married Squire Zenor (1818-1910) 8) Lt. Henry Lewis (1820-1883). He married Caroline Osbourne on 24 Nov 1839 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, IN. He is buried in Deepwood Cemetery at Nevada, Vernon County, IN. 9) James J (1821-1896). So your Mary Margaret has the same dates of birth and (roughly) death and the same parents as Margaret Gerard-90. I think they are the same person and should be merged even though the data are not identical: your Mary Margaret has some credible evidence, which is in short supply for Gerard-90.
