Michael was born about 1848. He was the son of Wenelinius (Vandal) and Julia Albin Gerdon. Confusion with the Keller last name is probably due to the fact that his 2nd wife Manervia was married to a Michael Keller first, and he passed in 1878. Her children by her first marriage are listed with the last name Gerdon in the 1880 census.
