Biography
Elizabeth was born in February 1836 in Kingsley, Cheshire, England.[1] Her parents were Thomas Gerrard and Margaret Wilkinson. [2] Her christening took place on 21 February 1836 in Frodsham, Cheshire. Her father's profession was given as "school master". [3]
In the census of 1851 Elizabeth was shown as the fifth of six children living at home with Thomas and Margaret. [4] Thomas' occupation was given as "surveyor and school master".
Elizabeth married Robert Challoner on 20 April 1865. [5]
In the 1871 census Elizabeth (age 35) was living in Kingsley, Cheshire, England. Relation to Head: Wife.[1]
In the 1881 census Elizabeth (age 45) was living in Sutton in Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Marital Status: Married. Relationship to Head: Wife.[6]
In the 1891 census Elizabeth (age 55) was living in Stretford, Lancashire, England. Relation to Head: Wife.[7]
Elizabeth died at the age of 67 on 5 October 1903 and was buried in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, Metropolitan Borough of Manchester, Greater Manchester, England.[8]
