William married Martha Elliott on 09 February 1832 in Evershot, Dorset. [2]
It seems likely that the couple were living at Willington Street, Yeovil, Somerset at the time of the 1841 census: it is hard to find any other William and Martha Gerrard in the appropriate age group who would fit the bill. [3]
The 1851 census of England and Wales shows that William was living with Martha, on Church Street, Elham, Kent, England. William's occupation was given as "carpenter journeyman". Martha was from Wareham, Dorset. [4]
William died in 1854 and was buried on 11 June in Folkestone, Kent. [5] His age was given as 50.
