Marriage Newspaper Article: "GERRARD—WHIPPS.—On March 7. the marriage was celebrated at Haber field, Sydney, of Ethel, youngest daughter of Mr S Whipps, Grafton, and the late Mrs Whipps, to Corporal Earle Gerrard. eldest son of Mr and Mrs L Gerrard, of Alstonville. The Rev McKibbon officiated. The bride's sister, Nurse R Whipps. of Parramatta District Hospital, was bridesmaid, and L McKibbon, attached to HMAS Cerberus, was best man. After the ceremony a breakfast was held at the home of Mrs A McKibbon, a cousin of the bride. A short honeymoon was spent at Manly."[2]
