Biography

Ann (Gerrard) Forbes was born in Scotland.

Ann Gerrard was born in Fife in 1816 and was the second daughter of James Gerrard and Helen Mitchell.

Ann married her first husband, Drew Barber, a bell hanger, in St. Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, on 20 May 1833.^[1]

Ann married her second husband, William Forbes, a labourer, on 7 November 1848.^[2]

Ann Gerrard died of peritonitis, aged 46 years, on 27 June 1862. The death certificate was signed by her sister, Jean Gerrard.^[3] Ann was buried in St. John's Parish Church in Camelon beside her parents but the headstone no longer exists.^[4]
