Bridget Gerrish was born on 14 Oct 1739^{[citation needed]}, daughter of Capt. William Gerrish (~1710 - 1795) and Mary Bridget (Morrill) Gerrish (~1717 - ~1790).

Bridget married Thomas Butler , son of Moses Butler and Mercy Wentworth, on 10 Mar 1757 in Kittery, York, Me. Their children were:

1. Nathanial Butler (1761 - 1841)
2. Thomas Butler Jr. (<1763 - >1816)
3. Sarah Butler (1767 - 1851)
4. Hannah Butler (1777 - 1860)
5. Susanna Butler (1778 - 1845)
6. William Butler (1779 - 1838).
