Biography
Susan Gerrish was born July 25, 1826 in Northfield, New Hampshire, the daughter of Joseph Gerrish and Susan Hancock. She married Dr. Luther Cummings Bean in 1852, and gave birth to at least five children before her death in 1869 at age 43. Unfortunately, only two of their children lived to adulthood. Two baby girls, Susan Elizabeth and Ellen Maria, died within a day of their births, and their son Willie died at age ten. Susan is buried in Lebanon, New Hampshire in the School Street Cemetery, Plot 268.
