Perceval was born May 27, 1872 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia county, Pennsylvania, USA. He is the son of Isidor Isaac Gerson and Ella Hemenway Woodruff.[1]
He was awarded his M.D, at the University of Pennsylvania in 1895, pursued post-graduate work at Johns Hopkins Medical School for 3 years, interned in large eastern hospitals and taught pathology at Johns Hopkins.
He married Miss Harriet Anna Thompson on January 10, 1899 in Chicago, Cook county, Illinois. She had attended Northwestern University.[2]
During the 1900 Census, Perceval and Harriet and their infant son Lowell were in the home of Perceval's parents in Lansdowne, Delaware county, Pennsylvania where he practiced medicine from 1899-1903.[3]
in 1903 the family moved to Los Angeles, California.
Widowed in 1922, Dr. Gerson remarried on November 3, 1923 to Vera Madeline Daniels in Los Angeles, California and they were the parents of 1 son.[4]

Dr Theodore Perceval Gerson was long accorded a position of prominence in Hollywood. He was a skilled physician and surgeon. He also played a leading role in various cultural activities and socio-economic and political movements.[5]
Percival died at the age of 87 on March 3, 1960 in Glendale, Los Angeles, California, USA and was buried March 7th in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Cause of death was cerebral vascular disease.[6][7]
