Sophia "Sissy" Gerson (married name Blashki) was born in 1863 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Rebecca (Jonas) Gerson and Jacob Gerson.^{[citation needed]}

She married Henry Blashki on 25 July 1888 at the St Kilda Hebrew Congregation in St Kilda, Melbourne.^[1] Their daughter was:^{[citation needed]}

• Ruth Gladys Blashki (1889–1950s)

Sophia died on 7 November 1934 in Melbourne, aged 67 years.^[2] Her remains were buried at Melbourne General Cemetery in Carlton, Victoria.^{[citation needed]}
