Romaine Gervais was born on 4 Feb 1681 and baptized the following day in La-Nativité-de-la-Sainte-Vierge parish of La Prairie, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Mathieu Gervais and Michelle Picard. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Nicolas Lepileur and Jeanne Denotte wife of Jacques Suprenant. The officiating priest was Claude Chauchetiere.[1]
Marriage
Romaine Gervais married Charles Marsille, son of André Marsille dit L'Espagnol and Marie Lefebvre, on 25 Oct 1700 in La-Nativité-de-la-Sainte-Vierge parish of La Prairie. The celebrant priest was Delafaye.[2]
Death and Burial
Romaine Gervais passed away on 15 Dec 1756 being given the age of around 75 years on the record. Her burial was the following day in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish cemetery of Longueuil. In the presence of known witnesses Charles Marcille, Nicolas Marcille, Jean Baptiste Delierre, and Joseph Deshotels. The officiating priest was J. Ysambart.[3]
