Hannah Kummer, 91, of Windsor died Sunday, Sept. 5, at the Spring Creek Health Care Center, Fort Collins. She was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Keota to Christopher and Margaret (Brethauer) Geisick.
In October 1933, she married Fred Kummer in Loveland. He died in June 1992.
Mrs. Kummer grew up in Keota and helped on the family farm in Briggsdale. She and her husband farmed nine miles east of Briggsdale from 1933-69. They moved to Windsor in 1969.
Mrs. Kummer liked to crochet, sew, do needlework and embroidery. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and canning food. She loved to cook, which she enjoyed sharing with her family. Above all, she loved time spent with her family.
Survivors are a daughter, Bernice Winsett of Fort Collins; two sons, Gerald Kummer of Briggsdale and Fred Kummer Jr. of Cheyenne; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A sister, Katie Manweiler, and two brothers, Chris Geisick and George Geisick, are deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Adamson Memorial Downtown Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley. Contributions may be made to the Briggsdale Library Fund in care of Downtown Chapel, 827 5th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
