Biography
Lewis Henry Gestro was born 22 October 1915 in New Zealand.[1]
Henry was the son of Louis Gestro and Charlotte McKelvey.
In 1941, Henry worked for NZ Rail as an Iron worker.
He enlisted WWII, 1945, as had his brothers Frank and Stewart. Henry's serial no 406182, rank private - Infantry Reinforcements. At the time he was employed as a Machine Driver.
Postwar he worked as an Engineer still living in the Wellington area.
Henry died in 1990 age 74 and is remembered in the Memorial Book section, Karori.
