Biography
Joseph Gestro emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1860's possibly early 1870's.
He married Fanny Mullins at St Mary of the Angels in Wellington. They had 8 children born in their marriage.
Joseph worked as a Fisherman during the 1880's and lived at Pauatahanui just out of Wellington.
Joseph died in 1905 aged 62 years and was buried at Karori Cemetery in Wellington on 26 January 1905.[1]
