Mae Gettis, daughter of John Wesley Gettis and Marcella (Brecht) Gettis, was born on 21 May 1893 inTama County, Iowa.[1][2] She appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 in the home of her parents at Ramsey Township, McCook County, South Dakota.[3]
She married Frederick Henry Reed, son of Henry Reed and Emma (Beery) Reed, on 30 Dec. 1915 at Tama County, Iowa.[1][2]
She and Frederick appeared on the census of 26 April 1930 at Mapleton, Blue Earth County, Minnesota.[4] She and Frederick appeared on the census of 17 April 1940 at Burlington, Becker, Minnesota.[5]
Mae died on 30 April 1966 at Becker County, Minnesota[6] and was buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Frazee, Becker County, Minnesota. Her memorial has links to those of family members.[2]
