Biography

Craft Ghost, a school teacher, married Elizabeth Catherine Fritz in 1803. She was the daughter of Martin Luther Fritz and Catherine "Marie" Wilt who lived in Bedford Co., PA at the time.

Besides teaching school, Craft also was a miller in Clinton where he built his own mill and became a County Commissioner for Venango Co., PA.

Christy's School was also built on his property but it was torn down in 1888.

Craft and Elizabeth had 8 children they named: John Barbara, Charlotte, Elizabeth "Betsy", Sarah, Susanna, Mary and Philip Ghost.
