Biography

Baldassare was born about 1794 to Giuseppe Giambalvo and Antonina Giambalvo. He married Vita Becchina in 1819 and they had 9 known children. Of the 9, only one died in early childhood which is pretty remarkable. But of the 8 who survivied, only two are known to have married. He and Vita had one grandchild. He died in 1864 at about age 70.

The birth record for daughter Francesca states that Baldassare was a member of the middle class.
