Rosalia was born in 1859 to Giuseppe Giambalvo, a farming field hand, and Francesca Armato[1]. At age 21 in 1880, she married 23-year-old Paolo Artale [2] and they had at least one child. She was living as recently as 25 April 1909 when daughter Domenica was married [3].
Research Notes
Rosalia's marriage record names her father as Filippo Giambalvo instead of Giuseppe Giambalvo. Filippo was the name of Giuseppe's father.

Hi Jaci! First of all, I'd like to thank you for all of your hard work!
Ok: I also noticed that Rosalia's father is mentioned as Filippo on her marriage record and Giuseppe on her birth record. I hate when records don't correspond! So I spent about 4 hours investigating. The marriage bann of Paolo & Rosalia also says "Filippo". Then I went through the birth records and didn't find any Filippo's, but found a birth record for Giuseppe as well as his marriage record to Francesca Armato. On both documents Giuseppe's father's name was Filippo. So I think we can safely assume that the name of Rosalia's father was Giuseppe. Should I send you all the links?
