Jean Baptiste was born around 1668, son of Gabriel Gibault and of Suzanne Durand (13 on 1681 census), his baptism cannot be found.[1] He is born either in Sorel or Lavaltrie, 2 baptisms which have reached us after him are done in Sorel, the family is found in Lavaltrie subsequently.

Jean Baptiste Gibault married Anne Paviot in 1692, the marriage record itself is lost, they entered into a marriage contract on 13 September 1692 before notary Pierre Mesnard, who was seigneurial notary in Saint-Ours. Jetté deems the marriage to have been done in Contrecoeur,[1] but records for the area are only partial for the period. (possible locations are Verchères, Contrecoeur, or Saint-Ours)

Jean Baptiste Gibaut, miller, died on 16 March 1745 at 10 in the morning. He was buried the next day in the cemetery near Notre-Dame church of Montréal, listed as 79 years old.[38][39]

hi Diane, you aren't the only PM on here, so shouldn't feel you have to leave the profile. But if you want to remove yourself, on the right near the top, where it says collaboration, first block is where PM and TL additions/deletions are made, click on the first part, will take you to the menu for it. You can simply click on Remove yourself and that will be that.
