Biography

Walter, son of Walter Gibb & Ann Ferguson, was born on 2 April 1812 in , Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland.[1]

Walter married Marion Patterson on 30 November 1833 in Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland.[2]

In the 1851 census Walter (age 39), Collier, was the head of household in Moffat Pit, New Monkland, Lanarkshire.[3]

In the 1861 census Walter (age 49), Coal Mine, was the head of household in Easter Sheldhill, Polmont, Stirlingshire.[4]

Walter arrived in New Zealand in the early 1860s on the 'Pladda'

He died in 1894 aged 82y, so born about 1812.[5]
