Biography
Daniel was born in 1887. He was the son of Daniel Edward Gibbard and Rosanna Francom. He married Beatrice Katie Robins in 1910, and the couple are recorded as having one son, Stanley Gibbard, born 1912.
By occupation Daniel was a railwayman, working for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway. Soon after his marriage he moved north to chesterfield, where he worked as a Goods Checker. Later, though, he returned to his native Gloucestershire, working as a Railway Signalman. His wife died in 1939, but Daniel lived another twenty-five years and passed away in 1965.
