John was baptised at St Mary's, Banbury, Oxfordshire on 3rd April 1796.[1] He was the son of Robert Gibbard, labourer and his wife Mary. The register notes they were living in Neithrop at the time.

Death
John died in Grimsbury, Northamptonshire in 1852 at the age of 55.[5] He was buried at St Mary's, Banbury, Oxfordshire on 28th March 1852.[6] The register notes that he had been living in Grimsbury.

At daughter's baptism he is of Grimsbury and is a Maltster.
