Biography

David Gibbons was born on 12 Mar 1831 in Washington, Indiana to James Harvey Gibbons (Givens) and Rachel Kelly (McGarvin).

In 1850 he was age 19 living with his mother and siblings in Washington, Indiana.[1]

He married Martha Leoffler (Trask) on 30 Jun 1859 in Washington, Indiana.[2] [3]

Children: Dora E.

In 1900 he was age 69 living with his wife Martha in Franklin, Washington, Indiana.[4]

He died on 10 Dec 1911 in Washington, Indiana.[5]

David served in the Union Army during the Civil War in Unit B, 50th Indiana Infantry; and Unit D, 147th Illinois Infantry.[6]
