(Records of Quentin Cabell Smith); It is possible that there were children by Howard's marriage to Martha T. Gibbons. Quentin Cabell Smith with his parents, Paul and Lee (Patterson) Smith, visited Howard in Larkins, now South Miami, in 1940 or 1941. Howard's house was in a thick orange grove. Date of his interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, 8th Street in the Coral Gables section of Miami, FL was 10 June 1954, Int No. 14783 Grave 3 Lot 153 Section 5. Adjoining graves of Mattie, Howard, Frances Marian, and Martha T. are unmarked.
