Biography

Place of Burial: Old Cemetery, Plympton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States

Daughter of Thomas and Alice (Warren) Gibbs 2899 From the Connecticut Nutmegger, p. 174 “Isaac Cushman, Jr. of Plympton married for his first wife, Sarah Gibbs, great-grandaughter of Richahd Warren. They had a daughter Sarah, who was always supposed to have married Benjamin Spooner in Plympton in 1731. When Maclean McLean of Pittsburgh published one of his series of articles on Sandwih families in the NEHG Register, he gave the marriage of this Sarah Cushman to John Gibbs in Sandwicch in 1726 and proved her identity through deeds in which the wife of John Gibbs with her husband released land which she had inherited from her father, Isaac cushamn, jr. This opens up a complete new line of the descendants of John Gibbs and wife Sarah Cushman
