Biography

Mary was born in 1785. She was the daughter of Ruben Gibbs and Mary Blackwell.[1]

She married Isaac Chamberlain Noyes on 27 Sept. 1802 in Sidney, Kennebec, Maine (then still Massachusetts).[2]

Mary Gibbs was born in 1786[3][4] in Maine. She had one daughter with Isaac Chamberlain Noyes[3][5] in 1809.

Mary died as a young mother on March 19, 1817,[4] in Maine at the age of 31, and was buried in Wilton, Maine in Dan Knowles Cemetery.[3]

Research Notes

Massachusetts, U.S., Wills and Probate Records show an inferred death place of Massachusetts. However, her husband was living consistently in Maine between census records (1810-1820). Unless she died while visiting family south, she most likely died in Maine.
