Elizabeth Gibbs, born 1765 at Orange Co NC, was the eldest child of Nicholas Gibbs and Mary Efland. She married John Snodderly abt 1785 in Orange Co, then later moved to Campbell Co TN. They had at least eleven children: George (1787), Jacob (1789), Elizabeth (1791), Sarah (1794), Pheobe (1799), Huldah (1803), John (1804), Mary Nancy (1806), Nicholas (1806), and Henry (1807).  Elizabeth died shortly after the 1850 census.
