George Gibbs was born in Rainham, Kent, England.

George Henry Gibbs was born on 26 Aug 1867 in Rainham, Kent, England to parents George Gibbs and Jane Ann Hales. ^[1] He was christened on 26 Nov 1867 in the Gillingham church, Ivy St., Rainham, Medway, Kent, England. ^{[2] [3]}

He immigrated to Canada with his family when he was age 14 in 1881, settling in Durham, Ontario, Canada. ^[4]

He married Annie Lowe, daughter of Mary Ramage and James Lowe on the 20th of Nov 1889 at Port Hope, Durham, Ontario, Canada.^{[5] [6]}

Children: Irene Vira, James Harry, George Leo, Ernest Victor, Emma V, Annie Olive.

The family immigrated to America about 1903 and settled in Rochester, Monroe, New York. ^{[7] [8]}

He died on the 17th of Aug 1928 at Rochester, Monroe, New York, United States. ^[9]

George worked as a Butcher and a Miller.
