Research Notes
The Murray/Smith Genealogy Page quotes Phillip's will as follows:
In his will Philip left to his wife, "all his household goods, furniture, plate, china, glass, books, wines and liquors and the best bed." To his son, Benjamin, he left an annuity and his second best bed. To his sons Philip, Thomas and John he left 35 pounds.
No source is included for this will, but assuming that it is accurate, it establishes Thomas Gibbs as a son of Phillip and Mary. (Many other secondary sources also show Thomas Gibbs as a son of Phillip and Mary).
