Biography
George Gibbs is Notable.
He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Benjamin Franklin Gibbs of New Orleans and Elizabeth Beatrice Kellogg of “Yacoo, Miss”.
He married Maud Stovell Harrison.
On 12 January 1915, he sent in an application to join the Sons of the American Revolution. He was approved 23 November 1915. He was SAR member 27894. He claimed to be a descendant of John Fort Sr. of New Jersey, through Sarah Ann Fort Gibbs, his grandmother.
