DEATH: May 4, 1924

Death of Mrs. Leta (Gibbs) Burbee. Mrs. Leta (Gibbs) Burbee. 29, wife of Arthur G. Burbee. died Sunday. May 4, in the hospital at Mittineague, Mass., of blood poisoning and peritonitis following a very serious operation. Mrs. Burbee was born in St. Regis Falls. N. Y. Oct. 18, 1895, the oldest daughter of the late Samuel and Theorda (Cheney) (Gibbs) Farr. She married Mr. Burbee Sept. 15,, 1923. She came from, Springfield, Mass., as a small child and spent the greater part of her life here. She was a member of the Baptist church of this place. Besides her husband she leaves, an infant daughter, mother, brother and two sisters. She will be greatly missed in her home, the church and Sunday school, of which she was a constant attendant. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family. The mother, on account of illness, was unable to attend the funeral, which was held in Springfield, Mass., Tuesday, May 6. Those attending the funeral were her husband and son, Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Gibbs, Mrs. Harry Hall, Miss Elsie Farr, Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Farwell, Ernest Burbee, Miss Hilda Swanson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fontaine.[12][13][14][15][16]
