Mary Gibbs was born at Framingham, Massachusetts, on 28 Feb 1750 [1] (probably 1750/51, based on her age at her death as shown on her gravestone[2]), the daughter of Joseph Gibbs and Elizabeth (Palmer) Gibbs.[3] In Mary Walker's Revolutionary War widow's pension application filed in 1837, Pelatiah Gibbs stated that he was 80 years old, certified that he was present at the marriage of John Walker and Mary Gibbs, and said that Mary was his sister.[4]
Marriage
Mary Gibbs of Holliston, Massachusetts, and John Walker of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, published their intention to marry at Hopkinton on 16 Jul 1769,[5] and they married at Holliston on 31 Aug 1769.[4][6][7]
Death
Mary Gibbs died on 12 Mar 1844 and is buried at the Lake View Cemetery in Livermore, Maine, where her gravestone gives her age at her death as 93.[2]
