Biography

Ernest Edwin Gibbs was born in 1870 at Ivanhoe, Lake, Illinois, United States. He was the son of Richard White and Elizabeth Hildred.

In the 1881 Canada census, Ernest Gibbs was age 10 living at Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario, Canada with his father Richard Gibbs (36), mother Elizabeth Gibbs (31), sister Emma Gibbs (12).[1]

In the 1891 Canada census, Ernest E Gibbs was age 20 living at Kincardine, Bruce, Ontario, Canada with his father Richard Gibbs (45), mother Elizabeth Gibbs (41), sister Emma E Gibbs (22).[2]

Ernest Gibbs and Minnie Frances Shellington married on 9 Aug 1899 at Terra Cotta, McHenry, Illinois.[3] They did not have any children.

In the 1901 Canada census, Ernest Gibbs was age 30 living at Westminster, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada with his wife Minnie Gibbs (30), mother Elizabeth Gibbs (51). Occupation Carpenter.[4]

In the 1911 Canada census, Earnest E Gibbs was age 41 living at London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada with his wife Minnie Gibbs (41). Occupation Public School Teacher.[5]

In the 1921 Canada census, Earnest Gibbs was age 50 living at London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada with his wife Minnie F Gibbs (50). Occupation School Teacher.[6]

Ernest died in 1959 at London, Middlesex, Ontario. He was buried at Woodland Cemetery.[7]
