Samuel was born to James Giberson and Maryann Bradley on 10 Aug 1826, in Perth, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada. (3)

According to Wiley Waugh, in his book, John Giberson, Loyalist: Samuel was listed as 25 years old in the 1851 Canadian census; 33 years old in 1861; 47 [sic] in 1871; and 53 in 1881. "In 1871 [he and his family] were living in the parish of Gordon, Victoria County, NB and also in 1881 where Samuel's mother, Mary [Mariam/Miriam] is listed as age 86 years." (1)

1851 Census of Canada shows Samuel living with his parents and siblings in Perth, Victoria County, New Brunswick: James Giberson 60, Maryann Giberson 59, William Giberson 28, Samuel Giberson 25, Daneal Giberson 23, Bachebe Giberson 20, George Giberson 17, Hamelton Giberson 14, Mary Giberson 11, Elesebeth Giberson 6. (2)

1861 Census of Canada shows Samuel, his wife Elizabeth, three children, and a servant, William Soeper living in Wicklow, Carleton, New Brunswick: Samuel Giberson 33, Elizabeth Giberson 23, William Giberson 5, Georgeann Giberson 3, Drusilla Giberson 1, William Soaper 25. (4)

[Elizabeth apparently dies sometime after 1861, and Samuel marries Urania Campbell in 1863]. Harris-837 18:38, 28 January 2014 (EST)needs verification.

In the 1871 Census of Canada, Samuel (farmer) is shown living with his wife "Lurinda" [one of the many variations of Urania that we find] (a weaver), in Gordon, Victoria, New Brunswick, along with William age 18, Georgeann 13, Drucilla 11, Eltheir 5, Lincoln 5, Henry 2. (5)
