Biography

Jemima was born in 1859 in Medellah, Western Australia.^[1] She is the daughter of John Giblett and Ann Wells.

With the passing of the late Miss Jemima Giblett, there is removed one of Manjimup's earliest settlers. The deceased was born at Serpentine and was the youngest daughter of the late John and Anne Giblett, and came to the Manjimup when a young girl. She would have been 83 years of age in January. The funeral took place on Wednesday of last week when the remains were laid to rest in the Anglican portion of the Balbarrup cemetery, the Rev. Canon Walmsley officiating. The pall bearers were Messrs E. Giblett, G. S. Giblett, J. Ipsen and J. Scott.^[2]
