Research Notes

Transcription of the original marriage record: Abel Gibson of Stow and Mary Gibson of Lunigsburge (Lunenburg?) intended into marriage with each other entered May 4, 1768. The other marriage records on the page list brides by their their maiden names, so possibly Gibson was Mary Gibson's maiden name. Indeed, there exists a Gibson family in Lunenburg at that time, see Timothy Gibson (1753-1832).

On the same page of the marriage record there is an entry for William Thirlo of Fitchborge and Mary Gibson of Stow, Oct 28, 1768

Changed death date from 1829 (unsourced) to 30 Mar 1830, based on the cited gravestone. Much of the gravestone is unreadable.
