Biography

Thomas Edison Gibson was born on 22 June, 1904 in Indianapolis, Indiana[1]. He married Beatrice Irene Gruesbeck on 18 May, 1926 in Ithaca, Gratiot Co., MI.[2] He lived with his parents in Indianapolis until 1926. In 1930, Tom and Beatrice were living in Los Angeles with their two daughters. Thomas was a physician. He interned at Hurley Hospital in Flint Mi in 1931[3]. They moved to Miami, Florida 1932 where he was a pdir(physician director?)[4]. Dr. Thomas Gibson was the head of the Isabella County heath in Feb., 1933[5].

After spending some time in Boston Ma in 1936[6], Tom and Beatrice had moved to Lansing, Mi. where he worked in the state health department[7][8].

By 1942, Thomas was in the Army. He had served in the U.S., North Africa and Europe[9]After discharge, Thomas and Beatrice lived in Bakersfield until about 1951, when he was recalled into the Air Force for the Korean War. Tom retired as a Lt. Colonel on 2 Feb., 1957[10][11].He passed away on 28 July, 1971 in San Bernardino, CAand was buried in Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Fair Oaks, Sacramento, Co., CA Plot: Court of Honor East[12]
