William Silas Giddens was born on March 31, 1881 in Berrien County, Georgia.[1] He was the son of Hardeman Giddens and Martha Gaskins.[2] William worked for his father as farm labor[2] and then was a farmer.[3][4] But, he also was a millwright and worked for the Twin Tree labor company in Berrien County.[1] He and Ocie and their young daughter, Delma, lived in Milltown in Berrien County.[1] William died on December 5, 1943 in Nashville, Georgia.[5] He is buried in Riverside Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County.[6]
