William Zackariah Giddings was born on 7 Mar 1861 in Coushatta, Red River, Louisiana. He was the son of Erastus Giddings and Retinsy Trice. He passed away on 27 Nov 1909 in Coushatta, Red River, Louisiana at the age of 48. William is buried in the Bethel Cemetery, Coushatta, Red River Parish, Louisiana.
William and Margaret Ann Rebecca Murphy married about 1882 in Louisiana. Together they had 13 children; William Erastus Giddings, Andrew Elias Giddings, Emmit Zackariah Giddings, Robert Tracy Giddings, Mary Lorener Giddings, Laura Annabelle Giddings, Olivia Eudora Giddings,Lena Leauna Giddings, Texana Retinsy Giddings, Rose Ann Giddings, Ella Giddings, Charles Leslie Giddings, and Marion Edward Giddings.
