William was born in 1808. He was the son of Willam Gidley and Thomasin Thomas.
He was Baptised at Ludgvan, Cornwall, England on 15 April 1808. [1]
The Gidley family moved to Gwennap, where his father passed away in 1838 [2] and his widow mother lived in 1841. [3]
William Giddley married Mary Davey, both of Gwennap, at St Wenappa, Gwennap, Cornwall, England on 7 February 1830 . Witnesses Tomas Guy and Edmond Whitburn. [4] [5]

On 6 June 1841 Will Gidley (30) Miner, wife Mary Gidley (30), children Mary Ann Gidley (8) and Will Henry Gidley (1) lived in Carharrack, Gwennap With St Day, Cornwall, England. Witnesses Tomas Guy and Edmond Whitburn. [6]
He passed away in 1872.
