In 1900, Jessie Giem lived in Morgan Village, Redwood, Minnesota, with his parents, Jacob and Amelia Giem, 6 brothers and sisters and his grandfather. It also appears that Jessie's brother Frederick and his wife living with the family.[3]
Ruth Elvira Elliott and Jesse H. Giem were married. Based on Census and other records, they appear to have had at least the following children:

When he registered for the World War 1 Draft in Portal, Burke, North Dakota, on 5 June 1917 Jesse Henry Giem (Indexed as Glim) said he was 30 years old. Jesse said that he had a wife and three children. He worked as a garage mechanic.[1]
He died on 2 May 1949 in Saskatchewan, Canada, and is buried at the Bienfait Civic Cemetery, Bienfait, Estevan Census Division, Saskatchewan.[2]
