Biography

Minnie was born in 1880. She was the daughter of Henry Gierck and Minnie Kohlman. She was baptised on 6 Feb 1881 at the German Trinity Church, East Melbourne.^[1] Her aunt and uncle were sponsors. This was the same date when her cousin Amy was baptised.

Minnie married twice, but did not have any children. Her first marriage was in 1914 to Henry Alfred Bowles.^[2] Her second was in 1944 to Samuel James Cane.^[3] She passed away in 1973 and was buried in the baptist section of Booroondara Cemetery.^[4]
