Biography
Robert Miller Giffen was born in 1821, the son of James Giffen and Margaret Miller.
He married first to Mary Emmett Armstrong in 1846[1] and they had a daughter.
After Mary's death in 1851, Robert married second to Elizabeth Speirs in 1852[2] and they were the parents of twelve children.
Robert died in 1892[3] at the age of 70 and is buried in Dixon's Union Cemetery, Chinguacousy Township, Peel County, Ontario, Canada.[4]
