Flora Giffin born circa 1880, married Charles Berman in Needham Massachusetts in 1908, and died without children.

Died when his vessel was swamped near the entrance of Lockeport Harbour. Also lost in the wreck was his nephew, Reginald Giffin, age 16, who sailed with him as a crew member.
He was a Master Mariner and sailed out of Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
Buried in the Louis Head Cemetery.
Gravestone reads "In memory of Capt. George Giffin, died November 6, 1893, aged 55 years."
